YOUTH

See the latest newsletter for all the current Youth events

A huge THANK YOU to all those that have supported the youth this year. We have been overwhelmed with the prayers, time, effort and donations (monetary and food) you have given the youth ministry.
It is most appreciated. In this busy world of striving for excellence through study, sport and work we sometimes forget to thank those that have helped us along the way.
Big HUGS to you all.

Have a Blessed CHRISTmas and a Peace filled Holyday (aka these days as Holiday!)

GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME. ALL THE TIME, ... !!!

2018 Youth Event: POOL PARTY at Napier Aquatic Centre, Onekawa sometime in February next year
along with the Youth getting involved with the Gatsby Morning Tea after the 10am Mass at St Patrick’s during Art Deco week in Napier.

Next Youth Event:  Youth are invited to join members of our Youth Band at the Parish Carols by Candlelight on Friday 15th December at 7pm in St Mary’s Centre.

Blessings, Chris Marwick. PS. God is Good, all the time. All the time, ...

A huge THANK YOU!!!  To all those that donated their time and money to provide such an amazing array of beautifully packaged delicious home baking last weekend.
We were blown away with the support from those who baked, those who purchased the yummy baking and those who donated financially.
The total collected was
1,390.00!!! amazing.
This total added to other donations means we can help all our youth towards their LifeTeen camp fees and travel expenses.
Thank you again and
GOoDBwthYE
, Chris

November Youth Event: Cardboard Sliding at Dolbel Reserve on Sunday 26th November
FEEDBACK:  About 30 turned up Sunday afternoon/evening and had a great time.
No major injuries, just a few grazed limbs, hay-fever symptoms and saw backsides!
We even got to share our kai with others outside our community who were most grateful.

A huge THANK YOU: To all those who helped out in the Mahon’s food trucks at the A&P Show on Thursday and Friday.
We’ve had great feedback from the supervisors. This is a crucial fundraiser for our Youth funds.
Thanks also to all those who put their names forward but weren’t needed in the end, your support and availability is appreciated.
As you can see, we were treated to a few free rides after we finished. Well worth the hard work!

Way of the Cross feedback:  What an AMAZING response from the Parish. We had even more young ones turn up this year to support this Ecumenical event.

And what an AWESOME witness we gave on the beach by the pier!!! We had kids as young as 4 right up to into their mid teens plus some parents and grandparents!

Thanks to all the young ones and their families for supporting this annual Parish walk of witness.

Passionist Youth Retreat:  A time to get away and look at life from another angle.

This 4 day/ 3 night  Retreat, held in the July holidays, is only $90 plus travel expenses to Camp Rangi Woods, near Palmerston North, (Financial assistance is available).
